Monitoring and Evaluation
Maitreya Project’s approach to monitoring and evaluation will ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of programme design and implementation and, consequently, the expected benefits to the community.
In Phase 1, the Project aims to develop a forum comprised of its own staff, local representatives, and representatives of other Indian NGOs working within this region.
The Monitoring & Evaluation Forum will objectively consider whether:
- chosen interventions adequately addressed identified problems.
- they sufficiently helped to achieve stated goals and objectives.
- alternative interventions might have been more effective and efficient.
These considerations will allow for alterations and modifications in programme implementation. Problems encountered in programme implementation can be addressed and repetitive mistakes avoided in the ensuing months of activity, as well as in future years of programming.
